Bookings

A booking is the client-level container: it connects an account (the company or household), a contact (the person), and one or more events.

Why bookings and events are separate

A wedding weekend might include a rehearsal dinner Friday and the reception Saturday — one booking, two events. Financials roll up: the booking's Payments tab shows every event's totals, paid amounts, and outstanding balances in one place.

• Events — every function under this booking, with dates and statuses.
• Payments — the combined ledger across all its events.
• Discussion, Tasks, Notes, Log — client communication and internal tracking at the booking level.

Statuses

Bookings share the same status ladder as events (Prospect → Tentative → Definite, plus Pending, Lost, Closed). Status changes are recorded in the status history and activity log automatically.
