Taking payments online

Branded on-page card payments, schedules, and how money reconciles.

Clients pay right on your branded pages — the document page and client portal show a Pay button that opens a secure card form in place (no redirect to a third-party page). Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank-level security (3-D Secure) are built in; card details go straight to Stripe and never touch VenueDrive's servers.

Payment schedules

On the event's Payments tab, build the schedule: a deposit, progress payments with due dates, and the balance. Payment rules can generate schedules automatically. Client-visible scheduled payments appear on the portal with their own Pay buttons — the next amount due is the headline action, with pay the full balance as a fallback.

Recording offline payments

Checks, cash, and wires can be recorded manually with method, amount, and notes — they flow into the same ledger and reports.

How totals stay honest

The amount due always derives from the authoritative document (or the order when no document exists) minus what's been paid — computed server-side by the money engine. Successful payments mark themselves paid instantly, write the activity log, and notify the event owner.

ACH / bank debits

Venues can enable bank-account payment alongside cards. Bank debits settle over a few days; the payment shows as pending until it clears.
